I figured I would share another rough cut piece with you this Friday.  It was born from me starting to figure out the arpeggiator feature in Logic Pro.  If that doesn’t mean anything to you, just know that its a dreamy piano with lots of motion.  Hope this Friday finds you all well, and you have a great weekend!

A short instrumental piece (for now) I call Kill For. The backing rhythm guitar is something I have been fooling around with for quite a while, with a little something thrown in, but the lead guitar was totally off the top of my head. You are hearing me play a beat up Ibanez acoustic guitar recorded through a Logitech headset microphone into Garage Band. After that, it’s all production magic, baby!

I added some Alpha vocals to this, meaning that I just used whatever popped into my head with minimal editing or attention to sense. I find this frees me up to concentrate on the music rather than getting tongue-tied over the words. Sometimes I start with solid poetic lines, other times I do this and try to make sense of it all later. Allegedly the original lines for Yesterday were, “Scrambled Eggs, ooh baby I love your legs.” I”ve no idea where this song is going, but it’s been fun so far.
